Southmall Pharmacy absorbs the $5 prescription co-payment, so fully funded prescriptions are free here — a real saving given the charge was reinstated nationally in July 2024. Blister packaging is free for all patients too.

Beyond dispensing, the range of clinical services is unusually wide: vaccinations including flu, COVID-19, MMR, shingles, whooping cough and HPV, B12 injections, blood pressure and blood glucose checks, sore throat and strep screening, UTI treatment and oral contraceptives without a prescription, smoking cessation, hepatitis C testing and treatment, opioid substitution and needle exchange. It also does ear and nose piercing, passport photos, and mobility equipment hire. Staff between them speak thirteen languages.
